Coach Tyler LeClair is from northern New York. He played his high school baseball for the Ogdensburg Blue Devils. He played at the State University of New York College at Brockport as a catcher. He earned his degree in teaching Physical Education with a minor in coaching. In 2009 he started and was the head coach of a Junior Varsity baseball program at a high school that did not have baseball as a spring sport. That program now has J.V. and Varsity level teams. He was the catching coach at Freeman High School from 2010-2015. Coach LeClair has been at IYG since the summer of 2010 and took over as owner of IYG Baseball in August of 2021 and IYG Softball in November of 2022.

Coach Tabby is an instructor at IYG and assists both of our 14U and 16U softball teams. She played softball at Richard Bland as a utility player. She was recognized as Richard Bland’s female athlete of the year in 2017 and led the team in most offensive categories. She transferred to the University of Virginia where she pitched. We are thrilled have Coach Tabby at IYG. Her experience and coaching expertise will help bring this program to the next level.

Coach Jeremiah played high school baseball at Godwin where he was a middle infidler. Jeremiah has coached softball since 2017. He has a love and desire to help develop young girls in the sport. This love for coaching extends past the softball field as he has coached high school basketball for more than 10 years.

Coach Lisa Smith was born in Norther New Jersey and moved to Virginia in 2011. She played middle infield for Lenape Valley Regional High School. Lisa has been coaching softball for 10 years at multiple levels. She has an extreme passion for the game and takes pride in helping to build a great foundation for others to share her love of the game. Lisa and her husband enjoy time with their 3 children, whom all play sports.

Coach Teri played softball at Powhatan High School where she helped lead her team to states. She received 2nd team all region her senior year. She went to Richard Bland where she was a Catcher/ Second baseman. In her freshman year, she received Honorable Mention Catcher. She has always had an immense love for the game. Her favorite thing about coaching is helping athletes reach their full potential.

Brian Jenkins
10U Assistant Coach
Coach Brian Jenkins grew up in Richmond, VA, and has always loved playing sports. He started coaching youth teams in 2017 and was the manager of the Glen Allen 8U and 10U All-Star softball teams, as well as coaching travel softball since 2023. Brian is passionate about helping young athletes reach their potential and enjoy the game. He believes playing sports builds confidence, leadership, and the teamwork skills that go far beyond the field. When he’s not coaching softball, Brian works in healthcare marketing, captains his men’s volleyball team at Richmond Volleyball Club, and spends time outdoors with his wife, son, and two softball-loving daughters.

Chris Wilson

Coach Chris started coaching softball in 2018. He has coached young athletes from the age of 8U up to 14U. He is currently the Head Coach for the King William High School JV softball team. Chris led the King William Minor League Softball team to their first ever State Championship in 2022. He has a passion for the game and enjoys teaching young softball players the balance of working hard and pushing themselves while having fun growing their love for the game.
